Programme Objectives
Situated along the Lower Kinabatangan, this program offers students an unparalleled opportunity to view some of Borneo’s unique wildlife including key endangered species such as orangutans, proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, crocodiles and many endemic birds whilst actively participating in on-going conservation projects to link fragmented forests along the river banks and census key species. This river ecosystem features tropical rainforest, floodplain forest and mangroves, featuring many indigenous flora including diverse species of dipterocarps, ficus, vines and medicinal plants.
